About Mohammad A Z Al-Ani

Mohammad Al-Ani, MD, is an assistant professor in the division of cardiovascular medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Al-Ani earned his medical degree from Jordan University School of Medicine in Amman, Jordan. After moving to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine, as well as a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Florida School of Medicine. He went on to complete an additional fellowship in advanced heart failure.

At UF Health, Dr. Al-Ani specializes in advanced heart failure and serves on the cardiac imaging team, with a special interest in multimodality imaging application in advanced heart failure population. In 2019, he received the Carl J. Pepine Award in cardiovascular research and, in 2017, the Most Outstanding Research Award from the University of Florida Department of Medicine. He belongs to several professional societies, including the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, the Heart Failure Society of America, and the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
