About Alex J Nusbickel

A native of South Florida, Alex Nusbickel completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with highest honors and a dual major in biology and Romance languages. He then returned to his home state to attend medical school at the University of Florida, leading the final College of Medicine mission to Haiti in 2018 and earning honors in research on graduation in 2020. Alex continued his medical training at UF for both internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship. He was heavily involved in research throughout this time, particularly in the area of cardiac electronic implantable devices where he authored several manuscripts. In 2024, Alex was selected as the inaugural fellow for the new combined cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology program at the University of Florida. He is excited to begin his career as an attending electrophysiologist in the summer of 2027. In his free time, Alex enjoys exercising, practicing languages, and spending time outdoors cycling and scuba diving.
